The title really kind of says it all.  I don’t know what I would do without my girls!  We are therapy for one another.  The bond between my girlfriends is strong and we are always there when we’re needed. They are my sisters from another mother. We share the laughter as well as the pain in our lives.

Life has a way of charging at us like a bull, full speed, with reckless abandon.  Sometimes it just doesn’t slow down, it keeps coming and coming. That’s when the stress of daily life becomes overwhelming. It seems like there’s no light at the end of the tunnel.

At this point it’s time for a much needed sanity check.  Everyone has, or should have coping mechanisms they implement when their life is in chaos.  Some things are good for you and some are not so good.  It would be great if we had a qualified mental health professional available at a moment’s notice to talk us down, but sadly that is usually not the case.

My girls are equivalent to me tying a knot at the end of my rope.  They are just a phone call away.  If one of them isn’t available, I call another one.  And, that is just for those spur of the moment insane situations.  As a wellness strategy, we get together on a regular basis to laugh and cry and share our lives.  These events vary from a night out at someone’s house, to a weekend at the lake.

Writing this post is in line with the therapy of which I speak.  My girls will most likely read this post, I hope they do.  It is a tribute to all of them, I won’t name names, you know who you are.  Keep on doing what you do, and I will too, and together we can keep our sanity. I love you guys!
