My favorite holiday is Thanksgiving! I love the idea of eating all day long and lying around like a sloth, having conversations with family members in between naps. What could be better than that?

I remember when I was a kid, helping my mom prepare the stuffing by drying out bread for the homemade stuffing that went into the turkey. Yes she made the stuffing herself! Ahhh traditions…

Another tradition I remember as a kid, was fighting over which 2 of the 3 of us kids would make a wish, and break the wishbone. The deal was, whoever found the wishbone would decide which of the other 2 of us would be on the other end of it. Then of course, before we broke it, we needed to determine what our wish would be. We couldn’t say it out loud because then the wish wouldn’t come true even if we were lucky enough to get the longer end of bone when it broke. According to the legend that’s how you know whose wish will come true, at least that’s how it was explained to me as a kid.

So this year if you are lucky enough to find the wishbone from your Thanksgiving turkey, have a wish in mind, and remember not to say it out loud, so your wish will come true. Happy gobbling everyone!
