Trying to figure out a gift for that special someone? We put so much thought into finding the right gifts for everyone on our lists. Whether they are naughty or nice, we want to show our love for them by presenting each one with that perfect gift.

Each one of us is unique, and the perfect gift for one, may not be the perfect gift for another. There are those that have so much that adding one more ‘thing’ to their spaces may not really be a wise choice.

My recommendation is to consider the gift of service. Whether you choose a service gift to pamper, provide auto services, or the gift of organizing, your choice will provide the following benefits to that special person in your life. And, YOU will benefit from minimal trips to the mall – it’s a win win for all!

• Time – A gift of service will give them back some time in their already hectic lives by having someone else do the work. They will now be able concentrate on other tasks that require personal attention to reduce their workload. And when their workload is reduced, they will have the time to spend with family and friends doing more of the things they really want to do.

• Money – A gift of service save them money. They won’t have to pay for a much needed service. Money earmarked for that service could be put in a savings account, used to pay a bill, or used to go out and have some fun!

• Stress – A gift of service relieves stress in so many ways. One important way is that it’s not tangible. Tangible gifts can cause stress. If you don’t like the gift, you may feel obligated to keep it just because it was gifted to you. If you don’t use it or love it, it can also become clutter, or add to existing clutter which becomes stagnant energy. And, as I’ve mentioned in the past, stagnant energy causes stress.
